Add Teamcenter users to embedded LDAP

If you use embedded lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) to provide authorization for user access to the Teamcenter management console, use Apache Directory Studio to add users to the embedded LDAP. Procedure Ensure that JETI Management is running. JETI Management must be running to work with embedded LDAP. Run the following command to start JETI Management: Copy TC_ROOT\mgmt_console\container\bin\trun Install and configure Apache Directory Studio. Run Apache Directory Studio. For example, run the installed-location\Apache Directory Studio\Apache Directory Studio.exe file. To view the available Teamcenter users, choose the following path in the LDAP Browser view: ou=Management,ou=JETI,dc=Teamcenter,dc=PLM,o=Siemens→ ou=Users Tip If a user is locked out of the system, you can unlock them by deleting the pwdAccountLockedTime attribute on the user. To unlock the user, right-click the user, choose Fetch→Fetch Operational Attributes, right-click the pwdAccountLockedTime attribute, and choose Delete Value. To add a new user, right-click the ou=Users entry and choose New→New Entry. Ensure that Create entry from scratch is selected and click Next. In the Available object classes box, type inetOrgPerson and click Add to move it to the Selected object classes pane. Click Next. In the RDN box, type uid. Type the user's name in the = box and click Next. The user name must be in a typical user name format and should not have spaces. For example, user Bob Smith should have a user name like bsmith. Type the user name in the cn and sn value boxes. Click the New Attribute button on the view toolbar. In the Attribute type box, type userPassword and click Next. Click Finish. The New Password dialog box is displayed. Type the user's password in the Enter New Password box. In the Select Hash Method box, select the method you want to use to encrypt the password. Siemens Digital Industries Software recommends at a minimum that you use the SHA-256 method. Click OK. The userPassword attribute is displayed. Click Finish. Results The new user is displayed in the LDAP Browser view.
