Getting started

How Teamcenter uses environment variables

OS environment variables Environment variables are how operating systems store user-configurable settings and information. Common variables store the current user name, working directory, host name, the current path for locating applications, and so on. How to view, create, and set environment variables depends on the operating system. Teamcenter environment variables Teamcenter's environment variables settings are stored in the tc_profilevars script file. This guide contains many additional variables which may be added to the script. By setting these variables for each site, Teamcenter can be quickly adapted and configured to meet any site's needs. The tc_profilevars script is run each time a Teamcenter process is started and changes made while the process is running will not be detected. You must restart the process for your changes to take effect.
