Add the FullText subclass for datasets

This procedure adds the FullText subclass to the TYPE_DISPLAY_RULES_list_types_of_subclasses preference. The preference values comprise a list of the subclasses that can be assigned to datasets.

Microsoft Office Word is the default tool for the FullText subclass. Once you add the subclass, you can associate Word with each requirement template that you create.

Procedure

1. Choose Edit -> Options to open the Options dialog box.
2. At the bottom left of the dialog box, click Filters. The Preferences By Filters page is displayed.
3. Under Filters, in the Search by preference name box, type TYPE_. The preferences list displays each preference whose name contains TYPE_.
4. In the list, select the TYPE_DISPLAY_RULES_list_types_of_subclasses preference.
5. Add the FullText subclass to the preference value: a. At the bottom of the right pane, click the Edit button to activate the Values list. b. In the box below the Values list, type FullText. c. Click the + button to the right of the box, then click Save.
6. Close the Options dialog box, and then exit Teamcenter.
7. Restart Teamcenter, then choose Edit -> Options to open the Options dialog box.
8. In the left pane under Options, select Dataset.
9. In the right pane, select FullText from the Dataset Type list, then click OK.
