View solution variants

You can view a list of the solution variants that are available for a product structure in the Solution Variants tab. You can also open a solution variant and view its content.

Procedure

1. Open the structure for which you created solution variants.
2. Go to the Solution Variants tab. The Solution Variants section lists the solution variants that were created for the selected structure. Solution variants for a configurable product, assembly, or component are displayed in the table in the Solution Variants section, depending on the fully qualified match of the Saved Variant Rule (SVR) recipe of the top-level product or assembly. The solution variants that do not match the top-level product SVRs are displayed with an empty value in the Variant Rule column.
3. To view the content of the solution variant, in the Solution Variants tab, select a solution variant and click Open . The selected solution variant opens and you can view its content.

View Reused solution variants

You can view Reused solution variants directly in the structure. This information is helpful for manufacturing engineers and process planners, ensuring accurate variant information is available for MBOM and BOP.

Procedure

1. Open the structure for which you already created the reused type of solution variants.
2. In the Variant list located in the header, select a variant rule. The Solution Variant column displays the reused type of solution variant that is associated with the selected variant rule. The following screenshot displays an example of the Reused solution variants displayed in the Solution Variant column.
