Manage DSS keys

Rotate (change) your DSS keys to limit exposure in case of a security compromise and to limit the amount of information protected by any particular key. Use the following steps to rotate DSS keys. Procedure Ensure cloud services are enabled and your environment is configured as specified in Manually configure the Teamcenter environment. and your files are configured as specified in Log files produced by Teamcenter. Open a Teamcenter command shell: (Windows) Click Start and choose All Programs→Teamcenter x.x→configuration-name Command Prompt. (Linux) Open a command shell, change to the TC_ROOT/tc_menu directory, and run the configuration-name.sh script. Use the following fscadmin command to rotate the DSS keys: Copy fscadmin -s FSC-URL ./external/keys/rotate/nvargs/storagetype="dss" For example: Copy fscadmin -s http://localhost:4544 ./external/keys/rotate/nvargs/storagetype="dss" Messages of the following form are returned: Copy DSS Keys rotated successfully and key store updated ACCESS_KEY_ID=e83a4c2f98ff4290a098774dcc24258a SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=9lCCIQ+wRF/evDKCFgKN8PU1T0+md1lpvAHxpn+Yesc= Use the following fscadmin command to verify FMS access for your Teamcenter site: Copy fscadmin -s FSC-URL -k common-key-file ./status For example: Copy fscadmin -s http://localhost:4544 -k FMS.key ./status
