View and author mass and balance properties in a different unit of measure

You can change the default display unit set that is configured by your system administrator. You can view and author mass and balance properties and also generate mass and balance rollup reports with this changed display unit set.

You can view the default display units shown against the mass and balance properties in the tree structure as well as in the Mass Properties section on the Weight and Balance tab. You can also view the From Design values displayed in the From Design Mass column.

Procedure

1. To change the default display unit set, click your User ID and then click Manage Profile.
2. In the Units section, select a value from the Unit Display Set list.

Example

Let's consider that you selected Non-Metric Display Set. The changed unit system (for example, pounds and feet) is reflected in the tree structure as well as in the Mass Properties section on the Weight and Balance tab. The values displayed in the From Design Mass column are also changed as per the new display unit set. If you generate a rollup report, the report shows the new display unit set. The header section displays the display unit set in the Unit System field.

Note

You can select a value from the Unit Display Set list only if your system administrator has migrated to the new weight and balance data model. If your system administrator is using the old data model, you can use only the As Authored unit display set.
