Revise a structure

You can revise a released structure to update it. When you revise a structure, you can retain existing aligned parts or create and use new ones. You can also address the alignment mismatches by setting a primary aligned part.Procedure Open the structure that you want to revise.

Click More Commands

New Revise .

In the Revise panel, enter the required information.

If the selected structure is a design structure, additionally select the Keep Existing Part check box to retain the part that is already aligned with the selected design. The existing part and design alignment will be automatically carried over to the revised structure. You can also choose to create a new part or use another existing part by clicking Add Part. In this case, the existing part and design alignment will not be carried over to the revised structure. After choosing to create or use another part, if you select the Keep Existing Part check box, the new part or the part that you chose is ignored. If you see any error while previous alignment is getting removed, contact your administrator.

Click Revise.

To align the design and part again to fix the mismatched alignments that are indicated as :

Switch to the Tree with Summary view.

Select a design in the design structure.

Go to the Aligned Parts section in the Overview tab, select the required part, and click Set Primary .
