Enable or disable SHA-256 digest algorithm for the ticket digest
By default, Teamcenter and FMS use the SHA256 digest algorithm for the ticket digest. Siemens Digital Industries Software recommends this setting. You can configure the Teamcenter system and FMS to use the less secure MD5 digest algorithm, although we do not recommend using this algorithm. Note Sites that communicate with each other in a Multi-Site federation must use the same digest algorithm, one of MD5 or SHA-256. SHA-256 ticket support was introduced in Teamcenter 13.1. For Multi-Site environments where even one of the environments is running a version of Teamcenter earlier than 13.1, SHA-256 tickets are not supported. Siemens Digital Industries Software recommends upgrading such environments to Teamcenter 13.1 or later, so they can use SHA-256 tickets. Disable SHA-256 tickets Procedure Set the Teamcenter preference FMS_Use_SHA256_Tickets to false. In the FMS primary xml file, after the fmsenterprise element, remove the ticketdigest element or set its value to"MD5" as follows: Copy
