Configure the previews of product structures

As an administrator, you can configure Teamcenter so that the engineering user, with write access to the structure's top node, can attach the JT file containing the product's outline to its structure. After attaching the JT file, the engineering users can view the product outline in the Viewer, instead of loading the entire, large product structure, and improve performance.

Procedure

1. In Active Workspace, click Search > Advanced Search.

2. In the Advanced Search panel, click All, and select General.

3. Click Clear All to remove any already selected values.

4. In the Name field, enter Awb0OccMgmtAttachments, and click Search.

   The search result displays two style sheets.

   Note: The Awb0OccMgmtAttachments;1 style sheet is a versioned instance that must not be modified. Editing this version does not apply the configuration changes.

5. Select the Awb0OccMgmtAttachments style sheet, and click Checkout.

6. In the Preview section, find the objectSetSection tag, and add ,Fnd0ProductPreview.Dataset to the end of its existing content, ensuring the comma precedes the new entry to maintain proper syntax separation.

7. Click Check In.

What to do next

Advise engineering users, with write access to the top node of the product structure, to attach a JT file containing the product's outline to that structure. This allows them to preview product outlines in the Viewer without loading the entire, large product structure and improve performance.
