Color BOM terms In the Color BOM, different structural elements are used to build the BOM structure. The term Refers to Appearance area A color-specific region of a product that encompasses one or more part occurrences that share the same color. Appearance area breakdown A collection of appearance areas, mainly used to organize and group the relevant appearance areas together. Appearance product breakdown The root node of the appearance breakdown structure. It represents the collection of all the appearance breakdowns and areas for a product. Color appearance An object that captures all the visual appearance aspects, such as color, gloss, and texture information. Color theme A collection of color appearances for each appearance area assigned in a BOM. It has a variant condition which defines the product model configuration. Less finish part A part that can be colored. It can have one or more color parts associated with it. Color part A color part generated from a less finish part for a color specification.
