Update a part
You might be required to update a part for many reasons, including to update its finish type and find number. If the part is an assembly part, you can update its structure by adding, removing, or replacing parts.
Procedure Open the part.
Click Edit .
In case of parts having a released current or older revisions and no design-part alignments, you can edit following properties without revising the part. If an alignment exists, you can first undo this alignment and then edit the properties.

Skip alignment
Update the required information, and click Save .
If the part is a piece part, bought out part, purchased assembly, or a foreign part, in the Assembly Indicator list, select Supplier Part.
If the Assembly Indicator value for the part is already set as Supplier Part, the part contains an aligned design, and you want to change its assembly indicator value, you must first remove the alignment of the part with its design and then update the assembly indicator.
What to do nextAfter updating the structure, you must update its aligned design BOM.
