requirements-management
You can perform a Revise operation on a single requirement object under either of the following conditions:
- The selected requirement object is in a released state and the requirement structure is imprecise.
- The selected requirement object is in a released state, the BOMview revision (BVR) of the parent object is open, and the requirement structure is precise.
Note: The parent object is considered open under the following conditions:
- Not in a released state.
- In a released state but still modifiable.
- Not checked out by another user.
- Not locked by the access control list (ACL).
Example
The expanded requirement structure in Teamcenter shows the Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement is in a released state (locked) and the BOMview revision of the Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts parent requirement specification is open (available for edit):
- Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts
- Spec1/A — Spec1/A-View BOMview revision is open — View
- Req1/A;1–Task Reqts — object selected for Revise
- Req1/A — Req1/A-View — Task Reqts — View
- Req2/A;1–Extraneous Materials
When you export this requirement structure to Word and mark for Revise on the Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement, only the selected Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement is marked for Revise. After performing the Revise operation in Word, the revise symbol displays next to the Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement in the Requirements pane in Word:
- Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts
- Req1/A;1–Task Reqts
- Req2/A;1–Extraneous Materials
