Managing certificates

Learn how to securely export and import keys using wrapping certificates. Securely export and import keys in encrypted form by wrapping the key using the destination site’s public certificate. This process encrypts key information with the wrapping certificate of the destination site’s secure store. Click the Certificates tab to view a list of the certificates in the key store. Click Filter to limit the types of certificates listed: All lists wrapping certificates of all types. Local Certificates lists only wrapping certificates with public-private key pairs in the secure store that were generated on this key manager server. Imported Certificates lists only wrapping certificates without public-private key pairs in the key store that were imported from other systems. In the Certificates list, click a certificate to view its details. Creating a wrapping certificate With no certificate selected, click Create Certificate . Enter the fully-qualified name of the host on which you are running the Teamcenter Key Manager Administration application and click Create Certificate to generate and save the new certificate. The certificate is created in the store and appears in the list of certificates. Exporting a wrapping certificate Exporting a wrapping certificate to another key manager system enables that site to export keys you can then import to your key store. Select a certificate to export, click Export Certificate , and save the exported certificate to an accessible directory. Provide this certificate to a site that will be exporting keys to your site for import. Importing a wrapping certificate Importing a wrapping certificate from another key manager system enables you to use the certificate to export keys to that key manager system. With no key selected, click Import Certificate . Enter the fully-qualified name of the host of the certificate in the Subject CN field. Use Choose File to locate and open the certificate on your file system. Click Upload to import the certificate into the store. Deleting a wrapping certificate Click on a certificate. Click Delete Certificate to delete the certificate from the store.
