Structure Management ─ Deployment and Administration
Revision rules for incremental changes: Scenario
Learn how to configure the structures with incremental changes using entries like Pre-Released and IC in Process. Review the example of how the Pre-Released status can be applied to the item revisions and the IC in Process status to the incremental change revisions. The revision rule needed for that example is as follows: Has Status = IC in Process, Configured by Unit: Has Status = Pre-Released, Configured by Unit: Has Status=Released, Configured by Unit Has Status = Released, Configured by Release Date Has Status = Pre-Released, Configured by Release Date Working The purpose of each entry in this revision rule is as follows: Has Status = IC in Process, Configured by Unit: Has Status = Pre-Released, Configured by Unit: Allows Teamcenter to configure both the incremental change and the structure revisions by unit number. Having separate statuses allows the application of different access controls to the item revision and BOM view revision and to the incremental change. Has Status=Released, Configured by Unit Ensures the upper levels of the structure are configured correctly by standard revision configuration, as well as any finally released revisions at lower levels. Has Status = Released, Configured by Release Date Has Status = Pre-Released, Configured by Release Date Working Configure item revisions that do not have unit effectivity applied or are unreleased, that is, working.
