Send structure data by email

Procedure

1. Set the structure context by doing one of the following:
   • To send data for all objects in a structure, select the parent object (includes data for all direct children and lower level descendants).
   • To send data for two or more objects, use standard Windows multiple selection (specifies data for the selected objects only).
2. Choose File -> Send via Email, or right-click the selection and choose Send via Email. The Send via Email dialog box is displayed.
3. To address the data, do one or both of the following:
   • For Teamcenter users, click the TO or CC button to open the Select Recipients dialog box. Type search criteria in the Search box to search by user ID, group, or address list. Click User, Groups, or Address List to execute the search. Select the users/groups/address lists and click To or CC, then OK.
     • Tip: remove recipients by selecting them and clicking Remove (–); create a new address list via the Launch Address List button.
   • For external users, type SMTP addresses directly in the TO or CC boxes.
4. Type a message description in the Subject box.
5. In the Message box, enter additional text for the message body (up to 240 characters).
6. In the Requirement Templates list, click the export template that specifies the data you want to send.
7. To specify the output document format, click the Word button or the Excel button.
8. To specify the export mode, select Static or Send live URL.
9. Click Send to send the message.
