Change the Teamcenter default license server

The Default Local License Server (DLLS) is a special license server reference that is created during installation of Teamcenter. It is used as the default for the site, and thereby the default for all users. An administrator can change the value of the DLLS in either of two ways: In the rich client Organization perspective, select Default Local License Server and change the DLLS value. This approach is the most direct and obviously intentional. On the Teamcenter corporate server (enterprise server), do the following steps. This approach may be more convenient when multiple enterprise servers are deployed, or when changed or corrupted license server values do not allow logging in to the rich client. Set the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER environment variable so that the first port and server name value in the file is the desired value for the DLLS. Note In the case that the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER environment variable lists multiple license servers (where each server is separated by a semicolon), Teamcenter only reads the first license server value. Log on as a user with Teamcenter administration privileges. When an administrator logs on, Teamcenter compares the value of the value of the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER environment variable to the value of the DLLS. If the two values differ, then Teamcenter updates the DLLS with the value of the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER. Note If the License_allow_dba_to_change preference is set to True, then logging on using any account with DBA role causes the SPLM_LICENSE_SERVER environment variable/DLLS comparison and update to occur.
