Create a trace link between functions or logical blocks

Procedure

In the Function or Logical Block view, select the defining object and choose Tools→Trace Link→Start Trace Link.
Select the complying object, and then do one of the following:
- Accept the default trace link subtype: choose Tools→Trace Link→End Trace Link.
- Assign a custom trace link subtype: choose Tools→Trace Link→End Trace Link... to display the Create Trace Link dialog box. In the left pane, select the trace link subtype you want to use. Optionally type a name and description for the trace link. Click Apply to leave the dialog box open and create another trace link, or OK to close the dialog box.

The trace link is created and the trace link symbol appears in the Trace Link property column for the defining and complying objects.

Note Depending on the relation rule for the diagram, the trace link may not appear in the diagram.
