When the following conditions are met, the Save As operation is applied to the selected node and all parent nodes to the top of the structure, until an open BOMview revision (BVR) object is found:

• The selected object is released.
• The parent object is released.
• The BOMview revision (BVR) of the parent object is not open.

Example

The expanded requirement structure in Teamcenter shows the Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement, the BOMview revision of the Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts parent requirement specification, and the Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts parent requirement specification are all at a released state:

• Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts (parent node is released)
  • Spec1/A — Spec1/A-View (BOMview revision is released) — View
  • Req1/A;1–Task Reqts (object selected for Save As)
    • Req1/A — Req1/A-View — Task Reqts — View
  • Req2/A;1–Extraneous Materials

When you export the requirement structure to Word and mark for Save As on the Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement, the selected Req1/A;1–Task Reqts requirement and the Spec1/A;1–Robot Reqts parent requirement specification are marked for Save As. The save as symbol appears in the structure next to both objects in the Requirements pane.

After you save the changes to Teamcenter, the new requirement object NewReq1 and the new parent object requirement specification NewSpec1 are created.
