Set preferences for parameter management

Before using parameter management, review and, if necessary, set the following preferences. See "Working with preferences in Active Workspace" for information on setting preferences. For more information about a particular preference, search for it using the Preferences link in the Actions section on your MBSE home page.

Preference Name	Purpose	Valid Values
PLE_Map_Parameters_With_Matched_DataType (must be configured after installation for microservices to function)	Defines the behavior for mapping parameters based on data type.	true - Only parameters with the same data type can be mapped. false - Parameters with different data types can be mapped.
PLE_Parameter_Create_With_Default_Usage	Defines the default Usage for new parameter creation.	If importing parameters from Microsoft Excel and Usage is not specified, the new parameter has this default usage. Applies when using the Create dialog and shows as the "Starting usage" when creating new parameters in the parameter Quick Add feature.
PLE_Parameter_Create_With_Definition_Ux	Defines the requirement for having a parameter definition in order to create a parameter.	false - A parameter definition is not required when creating a parameter (default). true - A parameter definition is required to create a parameter. See "Make parameter definitions required".
