Configure separate Excel import commands

By default, engineering users can use a single command on Active Workspace for importing structures and structure changes from Excel in Teamcenter. As an administrator, you can turn off this approach. Engineering users can then use the two separate commands for these tasks. You can configure whether engineering users use a single command or two separate commands for these tasks. By default, a single command is available on Active Workspace: Excel Round-trip > Import from Excel . You can turn off this default to make two separate commands available instead.

Procedure From Launcher, click Preferences. If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access. Search for the EnableNewAwp0XlsImport preference and set its value to false.

Results Teamcenter displays the following separate commands for importing structures and changes from Excel on Active Workspace. More Commands > Import/Export > Import Structure to import structures in Teamcenter. Excel Round-trip > Import Changes to import changes in Teamcenter.
