Date entry: Scenario

The Date entry allows users to configure product structures against a specific date. You must use the Date entry in conjunction with other entries, such as Status or Latest, to find the most recent revision before the specified date. A date entry is used for specifying a date to configure the structure against. You can only use this entry type with other entries. These types of entry find the latest entry before the specified date: Status entry – released date or effective date Latest entry – creation date You can set the date in a date entry to Today, and Teamcenter evaluates the configuration criteria against the current date and time. You cannot configure working revisions against a date in the past. Teamcenter does not maintain information about the revisions that were in a working state at a particular time in the past.

Note If no date entry is present in a revision rule, Teamcenter evaluates the date by default to today's date.
