Configure how build combinations are generated

Use preferences to configure how build combinations are generated, and then configure the solution variants.

Procedure

1. Set the TC_show_option_family_prefix preference to false to hide the family name from the build expression and Variant Formula column.

2. To group the build combinations with properties other than the partitions, models, and families, add the values of those properties in the SMC0_BuildCombinations_Scope_Grouping_Criteria preference.

   The sequence of the properties that you entered in this preference is also considered for generating the build combinations.

   Example: Suppose that the following properties are entered in the given sequence in this preference: Description, Size. In such a case, the build combinations are first grouped by description and then by size.

3. To generate build combinations for structures without partitions:

   1. Identify a property or custom field that can be used to group the build combinations.
   2. Enter the value of that custom field in the FND0_ORGANIZATIONAL_NODE_CONDITIONS preference.

4. To generate the build combinations for the items that are a part of a change, set the EnableMultiBOM preference to true.
