Convert an element to a parent element

You cannot add child elements to an existing child element using Relations Legend.

The Convert to Parent command creates the space to add child elements. After using this command you can create child elements using Relations Legend.

Procedure

With the diagram open in the Architecture tab, click Start Authoring.
Select the element that you want to convert to a parent element and click Convert to Parent.

You can now add child elements to the parent element you created.
