Configure the engineering BOM generation
Define how partitions are created for an engineering BOM
While generating or updating an engineering BOM (Usage BOM or Assembly BOM) from a design structure, you can define levels in the design structure where you want to create partitions in the corresponding engineering BOM. These levels in the design structure are known as organization nodes. You can define criteria to identify these organization nodes using the preference Pma0_design_to_partition_mapping.
Procedure
Identify the property or custom property that you want to use to designate organization nodes. For example, use the bl_item_object_type property with the value PARTITION to mark a node as an organization node. You can also use a custom property.
Search for and edit the preference Pma0_design_to_partition_mapping.
Enter the property name, property value, and partition type in the preference value.
For example:
PROP:bl_item_object_type,VALUE:PARTITION,PARTITION_TYPE:Ptn0FunctionalThis criterion identifies design nodes having the object type Partition and for those designs, a functional partition is created during alignment.
OR
You can also specify multiple combinations of property values and partition types.
Example:
PROP:bl_item_object_type,VALUE:FUNC_PARTITION,PARTITION_TYPE:Ptn0Functional|VALUE:SYS_PARTITION,PARTITION_TYPE:Ptn0SystemThis criterion identifies design nodes having object type FUNC_PARTITION or SYS_PARTITION and for those designs, functional and system partitions are created respectively during the alignment.
You can set the primary partition scheme for the structure.
