Structure Management ─ Deployment and Administration

Set access control on view types

You can use Access Manager conditions to control the access to different view types. You can use the Has View Type condition of Access Manager to create rules that control write access to the different view types, preventing users from inadvertently editing the structure when manipulating multiple views. For example, production engineers creating manufacturing views should not have write access to design view types. This would prevent production engineers from unintentionally cutting components from the design view when copying components from the design view to create the associated manufacturing view.
