Create a master schedule
As a program manager, you may want to create a master schedule from several independent schedules so that you have visibility on the progress of the entire scope of work and can create cross-schedule dependencies to more effectively coordinate this work. For example, a master schedule helps you determine when the completion of a change, deliverable, or schedule is dependent on the work in another change, deliverable, or schedule.
Note: If your administrator has configured Teamcenter project security, the schedule will be assigned to the same Teamcenter Tc_project as the parent program.
Procedure
- Navigate to the program in your folder structure or from the program timeline.
- Select the desired program.
- Click the Schedules tab.
Note: Select a layout from Layout Manager to display details below the timeline, such as the Schedules tab.
- Enter multiselect mode and click each schedule in the list that you want to include in the master schedule.
- Click More Commands > New > Create Master Schedule.
- In the Create Master Schedule panel, define the master schedule's properties and click Create.
- (Optional) Click Alerts to verify that the schedule generation request was sent. A separate alert is sent when the schedule is successfully created.
- Access the master schedule by clicking the schedule completion link in the Alerts list, or navigate to it on the Launcher and click Schedules. If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.
