Engineering BOM Management – Usage > Save filtered and configured structures within a workset

Save a workset as a new workset

Save a workset as a new workset When you change the filtering aspects of a configuration in a workset, the updates you made to the workset and the structures within it are saved automatically. When you save a workset as a new workset, the name of the workset is changed, but its configurations are retained. You can also save a structure (within the workset) for which a partition scheme is applied as a new structure. Procedure Search for a workset using the global search or Quick Access. Click Open to open the workset. Select a product within a workset and then click Filter or select Configure to modify the filters or the configurations applied on the workset. Click the workset and then select More Commands > New > Save As . In the Save As panel, enter a name for the new workset. (Optional) In the Description box, enter a description for the new workset. (Optional) Click Add Project to assign a project to the new workset. Click Save. Engineering BOM Management ─ Usage, 2606 Unpublished work. © 2026 Siemens
