Configure keywords for importing requirement specification structures

When you import requirement specifications from Microsoft Office Word, Systems Engineering uses Word outline-level heading styles to parse documents into a hierarchy of parent, child, and sibling requirements. You can further control the separation of requirements by configuring the REQ_import_keywords site preference with keywords that occur in content under the headings.

Note: The REQ_import_keywords user preference can also be set from the Keywords box in the Import Spec wizard.

Procedure

1. Choose Edit -> Options to display the Options dialog box.
2. Select Systems Engineering.
3. In the Keywords to Import box, enter the keywords at whose occurrence you want imported requirements to begin. (Use a comma to separate two keywords.)
4. Click Apply to commit your edits and keep the dialog open, or OK to apply edits and close the dialog box.
