Administer TcServer instances in the Teamcenter management console

TcServer instances are logical business-logic servers in the server pool. Use the TcServer component in the Teamcenter management console to dynamically configure and monitor these servers. Dynamic changes to tcserver log level are temporary. To make persistent changes to the TcServer log level, an administrator can modify the TcServer logger in the TC_DATA\logger.properties file. Procedure Start the Teamcenter management console. By default, the address is http://host:8083/mgmt/console. Select TcServer and click the Search button. The available server instances are displayed along with related information such as their process IDs, modes, and status. Each server's lifecycle stage is also displayed. Lifecycle has the following stages: Warming The server has started, but is not ready. Ready The server is ready to be assigned to a user. Assigning The server is in the process of being assigned to a user. Assigned The server is assigned to a user session. Select a TcServer instance. Select Logging or Log Levels to change logging for the server instance. Click Logging to view and change the active logging options for the selected TcServer instance. The following options are useful for troubleshooting: Show Syslog Displays the most recent portions of the tcserver system log in a separate browser. Config for modules Shows each Teamcenter module known to the journaling system. Select the modules for which journaling is active. Show Journal Displays the most recent parts of the journal file in a separate browser. Select Monitoring to view the server instance settings. Tip Many of the settings are read-only because the master settings are configured in the server pool.
