Engineering BOM Management ─ Deployment and Administration

Configure the BOMLine properties for electrical harness structures

If the design and part data for the electrical harness structures is imported from electrical CAD (for example, Capital) and mechanical CAD software (for example, NX) to Teamcenter, you must configure the BOMLine properties so that these structures can be visualized in Teamcenter.

Procedure

  1. In BMIDE, open the project.
  2. Set the Fnd0PartDesignQualifier business object to Part.
  3. Set the Awb0AssociatedElement business object to Awb0PartElement.
  4. Set the hmc0IsDesignRequired property for all harness-related items.
  5. Set the hmc0ElectricalType property to add the electrical type properties for all electrical harness domain types.
  6. Map the hmc0ElectricalType property as a compound property on BOMLine for hmc0bl_electrical_type.
  7. Set the Hmc0ElectricalGeomOccAttr and Hmc0ElectricalNonGeomOccAttr occurrence attributes for Fnd0AbstractOccAttr.
  8. Deploy the BMIDE project.

What to do next

You can now configure the preferences for visualizing and aligning the electrical harness structure.
