Configure trace link features

To enable the trace links features in Systems Engineering, including the ability to create trace links, you must configure the trace link features.

Note: This procedure sets the Teamcenter Tracelink_Edit_enabled preference to true. That setting also configures trace link features for other Teamcenter applications including My Teamcenter, Structure Manager, and Multi-Structure Manager.

Note: This procedure sets the display for Defining Objects and Complying Objects properties for requirements objects only. To display these properties for other types of business objects, set each type's Fnd0RuntimeTraceProperty constant to True in the Business Modeler IDE.

Procedure

1. Choose Edit -> Options to display the Options dialog box.
2. Select Systems Engineering.
3. Select the Trace Link Mode, Indirect Trace Link Search, and Calculate Defining/Complying objects check boxes.
4. Click Apply to commit your edits and keep the Options dialog box open, or OK to apply edits and close it.
