Structure Management on Active Workspace ─ Usage

View snapshots of a structure

A snapshot captures the current state of the item revisions used in a structure. Snapshots are stored in a snapshot folder. In Active Workspace, you cannot create a snapshot, but you can view any snapshots that were created in the rich client.

You can view the snapshots that you created in the rich client under the Newstuff folder in Active Workspace. Snapshots are stored in a snapshot folder .

As a snapshot stores the state of the structure when the snapshot was created, it might not show the latest information. For example, consider that you had three versions of Engine, namely A, B, and C initially. While creating the snapshot, you had only revision A configured. Thus, when viewing the snapshot structure, you see only revision A of Engine. You do not see the revisions B or C. Also, in the structure, you see the revision rule is automatically created. The name of the revision rule is in the format Snapshot: .

You can update a snapshot to use a different revision by replacing the item revision with a different revision. After you update the snapshot, you can see a new item revision in the snapshot. In case you do not see one, contact your system administrator.
