About setting up massive model visualization index

You might want to set up the MMV index using Smart Discovery so that engineering users can view the product structure's 3D geometry in Active Workspace. You can either use services or the Teamcenter command prompt to index the product structures for MMV using Smart Discovery.

During the Smart Discovery installation, if the Include Massive Model Visualization (MMV) Indexing check box is already selected for Discovery Auto-Index Service, and if the Discovery Sync Service and Discovery MMV Sync Service are already installed and running, the product structures are automatically indexed for MMV. However, if these services are not running, or if you want to manually index a product structure for MMV, you can index it in Active Workspace.

If you use the Teamcenter command prompt to index the product structures, you can use the runTcFTSIndexer utility for creating and synchronizing the MMV index.
