Attach JT file for product previews You can attach the JT file, that contains the structure's outline, to the its structure in Teamcenter so that the engineering users can preview the product outline and avoid the performance issues of loading the entire product structure in the Viewer. Prerequisites You must have the write access to the top node of the product structure. You have obtained the JT file that contains the product outline. The JT file containing the product outline is typically generated from the CAD software (such as NX). Contact your CAD engineer if you need assistance generating this file. Procedure In Active Workspace, open the structure for which you want to attach the JT file. In the Content tab, select the top node of the product structure, and click the Attachments tab. In the Files section, click Add . In the Add panel, click Select File and choose a JT file. In the Type list, select Direct Model. In the Relation list, select Product Preview. Click Add. Results The JT file containing product's outline is attached to its structure. Engineering users can preview the outline by opening the product structure in the Viewer by avoiding the performance issues of loading the entire, large product structure.
