Assign a custom dataset keep limit to a type

Set custom keep limits for selected types. Normally, Teamcenter keeps the same number of dataset versions for all types of datasets. This number is based on the AE_dataset_default_keep_limit preference. To change the keep limit for a specific dataset type from the default, you must create a similar preference containing the object type name. Use the following syntax to create the preference name. Copy AE_dataset__keep_limit Example In this example, your company only uses the PDF dataset to hold auto-generated renditions of other datasets like MSWordX, your CAD drawings, and so on. There is no need to keep many versions. If you wanted to reduce the keep limit for the PDF dataset type to 1, you would create a new site preference with the name AE_dataset_PDF_keep_limit and a value of 1. With this preference created, Teamcenter will only keep 1 version of each PDF dataset. Following are the values. Name AE_dataset_PDF_keep_limit Product Area Choose one that makes sense. Description Default number of versions of PDF datasets to keep before deleting old versions. Changing the value will only affect datasets created after the value is changed.
