License usage report

Administrators can generate and review Teamcenter license usage reports to monitor compliance with license terms. Features assigned to a user within each reported month are consolidated on a single line for that user for the month. If multiple months are reported, a user may appear on multiple lines. Example license usage report displayed in a table The columns of a license usage report output from Teamcenter match the columns from a FlexNet analysis log output, except that the pseudo IDs are encrypted more securely, and the feature keys used are grouped together on one line. This grouping minimizes the database table space required, and is appropriate because any seat or feature used is allotted to the named user for the month. Column header Description user id The Teamcenter user ID. Note The LicenseUsage_show_userId_in_report preference controls whether to output the actual user ID; the preference default value is true. When the preference LicenseUsage_show_userId_in_report is set to false, generating license usage reports from the Teamcenter database provides a secure method of hiding user identity in the output reports. pseudo id A unique ID generated to enable anonymous reporting of user data. The pseudo user ID is always output. seat level The highest seat level used in the month by the user. license bundle The license bundle from which a seat license was obtained. license server The license server that served the license. feature keys Feature keys that were allotted to the user. month The month being reported. used hours The number of hours used in a given month. usage days The number of days used in a given month. number of logins The number of times the user logged on in a given month. usage violation* Displays the value Y when there are logon denials. Tip Specify this value in query criteria to fetch the data for all the violation records. usage violation reason* Lists the reason for the usage violation of the license. max day usage* Displays the value Y if the maximum hours of usage (7.5) is being recorded in any day in that month for the user. max value reason* Lists the reasons for the Maximum Day Usage value being recorded as Y, such as no logoff in a day. not released lic count The number of times a license is not released at the end of the day in a month. This is incremented when there is no logoff for a particular session on the same day the user logged on. grace days* The number of grace days used by the user. grace hours* The number of grace hours used by the user. grace logins* The number of times a user who exceeded license limits (hours and unique days) was allowed to log on. number denials* The number of times a user who exceeded license limits attempted to log on but was denied access. home site The home site of the user. *Tracked for Teamcenter occasional authors only.
