Processing Excel edits in bulk

In the Export to Excel dialog box, the Live integration with Excel (Bulk Mode) output mode reduces overhead in communicating with the Teamcenter server, for example, in committing a large number of changes to Teamcenter. Select this mode if you want to make multiple changes in the live Excel file and commit all changes to Teamcenter at the same time.

• To commit the changes, click Save to Teamcenter on the Add-Ins tab in Excel.
• To undo changes, select the cells containing the changes and click Refresh on the Add-Ins tab in Excel.

Tip: If you select the Check out objects before export option, you can explicitly check out the selected objects from Teamcenter before the live Excel file is generated. You reserve access to the objects until you check them in, either when you commit changes to the structure or cancel the changes. The Check out objects before export option is cleared by default. You can configure the object checkout option by setting the Show_Checkout_option preference in the Options dialog box.

Live Excel is included in Teamcenter Extensions for Microsoft Office and is available only for the four-tier Teamcenter rich client.
