Enter parametric requirement parameters

Note: You must have DBA privileges set with administrative bypass, or you must fill a role that your Teamcenter administrator has designated as having parametric requirement creation privileges.

Procedure

1. Select the parametric requirement revision, and then choose Tools→Check-In/Out→Check Out.

   Caution: Do not open the revision's full-text dataset to enter parameters. You must enter the parameters in the Body Cleartext property of the revision.

2. In the Check-Out dialog box, click Yes.

   Note: You can enter optional data in the Change ID and Comments boxes.

   The dialog box closes, and the checked-out symbol appears next to the requirement.

3. Choose View→Properties to open the Properties dialog box.

4. In the lower left corner of the dialog box, click All.

5. In the Body Cleartext box, enter text, parameters, and parameter values in the following syntax:

   text [parameter name: parametric value1 delimiter parametric value2 delimiter ..... parametric value n]
   

   Example

   Round all sharp corners to [Radius: 0.01, 0.02, 0.03] inches
   and heat treat to [Temperature: 100, 120, 130] degrees Fahrenheit.
   

   Note: The delimiter is defined by your Teamcenter administrator.

6. To save your entries and close the dialog box, click OK.

   Caution: You cannot modify the Body Cleartext property after you save it. To update parameters later, you must create a new revision of the requirement.
